On a snowy Thursday lunchtime, glancing through the celeb news I was inspired to share this with you all – for a number of reasons.
Firstly, doesn’t Cameron look amazing? No make up and in her gym kit but she looks fresh, glowing and healthy.
Secondly, doesn’t she look amazing for 40? I didn’t look this good at 25! Doesn’t that go to show you what a healthy diet and lifestyle and training programme can do for you? Cameron has always been outspoken in her love of working out, and working out hard. Aren’t the results more than evident?
And lastly, notice her quote towards the end: “if you’re gonna do heavy lifting”….. she lifts HEAVY. She pumps iron… and doesn’t she look really lean and toned for it? Notice how in the last photo of her on the red carpet she looks strong but in no way bulky? She may lift big weights but I for one would argue she still looks extremely feminine.
So ladies, to me, the lesson is quite simple. You can lift heavy and you won’t look like Arnie. Week after week I get asked by ladies in my Body Pump classes if increasing their weights will make them “bulk up”….. so isn’t lovely lean Cameron example enough to show you that lifting heavy will just make you look lean and toned? Not to mention increasing your calorie and fat burning potential.
I’d say that looks pretty good to me!
