With only 17 days til Christmas you may feel like you’re starting to wind down and that party season is about to take over… But what about your fitness and training? How are you going to deal with the excesses of the next few weeks?
One thing I’m currently super impressed by is the commitment being shown by Wildcat clients and class members to stay on track with their fitness journey during December. My classes are still full and I’ve got 26 client sessions in my diary this week! Such a pleasure to be training you all when you’re so focused on your goals. The true key to success when it comes to your dream body or your goal accomplishments is consistency. Even if your schedule is packed between now and the 25th, find time for even a quick workout – 30 minutes is better than nothing and you’ll feel more energised as a result.
Enjoy your parties but make sure you eat clean on the non party days to give your liver a break and your body the nutrients it needs. Keep your eyes on the prize – January is hard enough without having to work off too many mince pies and cocktails!
Your commitment and consistency will pay off – me, I’ve been consistently working on my deadlifts over the past few months, and thanks to staying focused and finding time to strength train (even when I’m delivering so many sessions!) I’m currently lifting a personal best – and have no intention of letting this slip and having to drop my weights come January!
Think how you want to look and feel not only at your Christmas party this year, but also as you start the new year – hopefully well on your way to being the fittest you have ever been!
