There are so many amazing things that I love about working in the fitness industry, and since starting Wildcat Fitness and my blog/social media I’ve been fortunate enough to meet some incredible and inspiring people. So I was thrilled to hear that two of my favourite fitness blogs were having a joint birthday party, but even more thrilled to have the honour of being invited to celebrate with them!
On 25th April, Four Fits and Mission Worldie held their fabulous first Birthday party at 93 Feet East on Brick Lane, London. Promising workouts, healthy food and activewear pop up shops I RSVP-ed without hesitation. And the gorgeous girls did not disappoint!
After a Vita Coco cocktail on arrival we were ushered upstairs for a HIIT workout with the boys from FitMiBody and they took no prisoners….. having already taught two hours of Body Pump and Body Attack earlier that morning I wasn’t expecting another intense cardio session quite so soon! But on the plus side, their full body tabata style workout gave me some great inspiration for punish….er…. new moves to put my clients through 😉 We managed to get a little recovery during the nutrition talk with Geena from Just Geen before our next workout – twerking with The Boss Chick! I had no idea what to expect, I love dancing but I’m not brilliant at learning choreography or remembering complicated routines. I needn’t have worried though – our amazing instructor was easy to follow and very enthusiastic, and with hip hop beats and super sexy moves I was soon having too much fun to care! I think they could hear us all singing along to Beyonce’s “Diva” several hundred feet down the road (yes we were working hard, but we still had some breath left to sing along and shake our booty at the same time!!) I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Boss Chick workout to any girl who fancies bringing out their inner sass whilst burning a fair few calories in the process. Having said all this I’m still dreading seeing how unco-ordinated I am in the videos of the workout some of my fellow bloggers took at the event….!
Finally it was time to eat – and with food from Gym’s Kitchen and gluten free cupcakes from GOD Bakery (my personal favourite!) we were spoilt for choice. This was also a really nice time to catch up with some of the lovely ladies I hadn’t seen for a while – especially two of my gorgeous fellow models from the Charli Cohen Fashion Show, Tashi Skervin (check out her fab lifestyle and fitness blog if you haven’t already) and Ida May (who was next to me during the Boss Chick workout…. twerking next to an incredible professional dancer…. no pressure then!) but also to put faces to names I knew from their blogs and to meet brand new people too, such as the awesome girls behind Sweat and Swagger (again, go check out their fitness blog). Perfect ending to the day was the brilliant goodie bag with treats from Propercorn, Chia Pod and Miss Nutritionist (her Dynabites are INSANELY good!) to name a few – a lovely take home from the day.
So thank you once again to Four Fits and Mission Worldie for allowing me to celebrate their birthdays with them – here’s to the next year ladies – keep up your fit and fabulous work!
