Having seen the announcement today that the gorgeous model, dancer and blogger Danielle Peazer has joined the line up for this years’ Be:Fit London Fitness Festival reminded me of the fantastic day I spent with Danielle last year filming two workouts I had choreographed for her on behalf of the Icon UK YouTube channel. Icon asked me to create two short workouts that could be performed anywhere – one more resistance based and one more cardio based, and the results were these Total Body Shaper and HIIT Fat Burning Workout.
Imagine poor Danielle’s face when I demonstrated all of these moves and explained the techniques and benefits…. before stepping back and coaching her through it!
As a Personal Trainer, just because I’m not physically with a client, doesn’t mean I’m not working. I don’t believe in a “one size fits all” approach when it comes to training, and my clients have different levels of fitness and different goals, so every session requires thought, structure and individual planning. For every hour of 1:1 training I deliver you can guarantee I will have put at least the same (if not more) amount of time into administration and programming of the session.
Happy New Year! What will 2016 have in store for you? This time 12 months ago I never would have even dreamed of some of the incredible experiences I have had in 2015 – and so I want to tell you that whatever you think the New Year may bring – don’t ever underestimate what you’re capable of. As the saying goes – dreams don’t work unless you do, and thanks to hard work, effort and determination last year saw me take both myself and Wildcat Fitness to places I never thought possible. The very same goes for you – you and your body are capable of incredible things, so where would you like the next 12 months to take you? Put in the effort, always be nice to people, believe in yourself and awesome things can and will be yours.
Happy Hol-Lean-Days tip no. 6 – something is better than nothing! Photo by the amazing Tom Miles to show you how I made the most of the 30 minutes I had spare today and got my exercise for the day in. As we head into Christmas week I appreciate time is at a premium – chances are you may still be at work and on top of this there’s last minute shopping and wrapping to be done, family to visit, friends to see…. So how on earth are you going to fit your workouts in as well?
One last #throwbackthursday for 2015…. On the left me in 2009… And on the right last week as shot by Tom Miles on our photoshoot last week.
Was it easy? No. Was it worth it? Without a shadow of a doubt. Did it happen overnight? Hell no! Yes you can loose weight quickly – and sometimes I did, but it doesn’t stay off, nor is this lifestyle sustainable. I’ve learnt so many lessons along the path of my fitness journey – some took longer than others and some were harder than others. [Read more…] about One last Transformation Tale
